Chelsea handed boost to sign 27-year-old Spanish Forward

Lucas Vazquez could be in line for a move to Chelsea if Antonio Conte replaces Julen Lopetegui as manager at Santiago Bernabeu.

Former Spain manager was sacked after a 5-1 loss to Barcelona in El Clasico compounded a dreadful start to his season as Real Madrid manager.

Former Real Madrid B boss Santiago Solari has taken over on an interim basis, but speculation persists over who the long-term replacement will be.

If Antonio Conte is that man, reports have suggested that Lucas Vazquez could be heading out the door.

The attacker is supposedly aware that the Italian is not his biggest fan, and several sides have been alerted to the possibility of a transfer should Conte be appointed at Los Blancos.

One of those clubs is Maurizio Sarri’s Chelsea. Despite being famously well-endowed on the wings, Lucas Vazquez could make the Blues considerably stronger.

The 27-year-old has made 148 appearances for Champions League winners in four seasons with the senior team and has won the top European competition on three occasions.

West London club are not the only team to have been alerted to Vazquez’s situation, however. Premier League rivals Arsenal are also claimed to be on standby.
