Chelsea’s striking problem might soon come to an end as 19 year old striker Charlie Brown, who is a part of the team’s youth setup has been rewarded with a new deal by Premier League side.

According to information from the youth unit at Stamford bridge the left footed young player has just signed a new contract that will see him remain at the club for a very long time.

The player who many see as a possible replacement for misfiring strikers Olivier Giroud and Alvaro Morata would have been on his way out if a new deal wasn’t offered to him as his initial contract was set to have expired in June 2019.

Brown joined Chelsea from Ipswich Town as a 17 year old in 2016 and has been a regular for the blues since then playing for their various youth teams where he has scored 41 goals from 72 appearances in all competitions.

Last season, he was part of the Chelsea’s U18 team that won the treble, the U18 Premier League, Premier League Cup and FA Youth Cup.

The player who is quite proficient in front of goal is yet to feature for England at any level yet though a possible promotion to the club’s senior team is on the horizon.
