Jose Mourinho was upstaged by his daughter Matilde at the GQ Awards
The father and daughter certainly dressed to impress at last night's GQ Men Of The Year Awards, held at London's Royal Opera House. However, despite Jose being honoured with the Editor’s Special Award Of The Year, it was Matilde that pipped him to the post in the style stakes.
The 18-year-old - who has previously been romantically linked to One Direction's Niall Horan - wowed crowds in a tight-fitting black velvet dress, that showed off some serious cleavage with a plunging neckline.
She added some extra height with a pair of black strappy heels and finished off her glamorous look with a black and gold clutch. Jose, 52, on the other hand, looked extremely dapper in a black two-piece suit that he teamed with a crisp white shirt and bow tie.
Matilde is one of Jose's two children, he also has a son called Jose Mario Jr. The Portugese football manager previously spoke about family life in an interview with The Big Issue. "My wife and my son and my daughter have the biggest influence on me, that’s for sure," he said. Matilde stole the show at last night's awards. He added: "And why? Because they are the bosses and control everything in the house!
"And in relation to my job they don’t try to influence me but at the end of the day they have a big influence because when it comes to make big decisions – where to go, where to work, when to change – on this kind of thing they have a big influence on me."
As well as Jose, other big winners last night include Emilia Clarke (Woman Of The Year), Paul Rudd (Leading Man Of The Year), Lionel Richie (Icon Of The Year) and James Corden (TV Personality Of The Year).
